Our first run took place in 2022, organized to celebrate the late Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. It was a local event for the communities of Rufford, Holmeswood, and the surrounding areas. The run was a huge success, and many participants expressed their enthusiasm, asking, “Why don’t we do it again next year?”
After some discussion, we decided to organize another run in 2023. This time, we needed a compelling reason beyond the enjoyment of the event. We chose to make it a charity event to support a cause close to our hearts.
Living and working in a rural area, many of us know someone who has been in an accident and required urgent hospital treatment. In such cases, the Air Ambulance service is often a lifesaver. For the agricultural community, the thought of an accident is immediately linked with the invaluable Air Ambulance service.
Raising funds to support the Air Ambulance, ensuring they can continue their critical work, was a clear and worthy cause for our run. We are excited to contribute to their efforts and look forward to another successful event!
A record-breaking 126 tractors turned out for the 2024 North West Tractor Run. More supporters than ever lined the route, showing their unwavering support. Not even the rain as the run neared its end could dampen the day’s vibrant atmosphere. With over £4,000 raised for the Air Ambulance, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made it a day to remember. See you all again next year!
